21 weeks, 3 days :)
Happy Birthday to my son! He turned 18 on the 25th. Wow, has it really been 18 years?!
I've been so emotional lately! And not over anything important really. I cry when the kitchen is dirty or the laundry is too heavy for me to bring up from the basement. My husband has been so helpful and understanding though. He helps out so much! It's strange though that sometimes my eyes will just water and tears will flow without me feeling any kind of emotion. I can just be sitting somewhere reading or relaxing and suddenly my eyes well up and run over. Maybe my tear ducts are just producing too many tears ;)
Things are going good other than the crying. Baby is quite active but he doesn't keep me up at night yet. I'm sleeping better but still not getting quite as much sleep as I should. I still nap during the day a few times a week.
We've got a list of names that are possibilities for the baby. Hubby still hasn't found one that really stands out for him. I'm waiting for something to just pop out and make him say "Hey, I really like that one!" but maybe I'm hoping for too much :p
So far here's our list, and Evan, Owen and Joel are back on it:
Ethan
Owen
Evan
Joel
Carter
Joseph
Justin
Sean
Aaron
Eric
Seth
Grant
Nathan (my fav)
Samuel
Keith
James
Opinions wanted!
More later :)
I didn't have the Internet when I was pregnant back in 1991. Back then I wrote letters to my unborn child, who is now 19! Sadly, many of those letters have been lost and I don't think I'll ever get them back. So, I decided that instead of spending all of my online time playing video games, I'd start a pregnancy blog. No more lost letters and I can share my journey with friends and family. So here I am!

Lazy Day
I have the day all to myself today. My son goes into town a few days a week and has my husband drop him off to visit friends. So son is gone and hubby is at work. I might play some video games to relax later and maybe try to clean up the basement a bit.
I made my hummus yesterday and it turned out pretty good. It needed more garlic than the recipe called for so I threw a bunch more in and it tastes way better. We absolutely love garlic around here! I'm hoping the baby will love it too as he grows up :) I also made a few dozen ginger molasses cookies for my hubby to take to work the other day. He says they didn't last long! I'd really love to open up my own bakery someday. I love to bake bread and sweets. We've played with the idea of me baking stuff and then trying to find a store that will sell it, but I'm not sure how I'd go about doing that. I'll look into it sometime.
I haven't been sleeping well lately. I've got carpal tunnel in both arms, but in my right arm the most. I wake up with pain all the way up my arm and sometimes a very sore shoulder blade. I end up having to sit up for a few minutes and sometimes I just have to get up and walk around to get the pain to go away. I've got a wrist brace but the last time I wore it to bed (which my doctor has recommended) my arm hurt even more. Maybe I'll give it another try. I try to take naps a few times during the week and even going to bed way earlier than I used to. I think last night I went to bed around 8:30. I do notice that I'm not quite as tired during the day as I was in the first trimester, which is good.
My son registered for his new high school yesterday. His old school had close to 3000 students and this new one only has around 900 which I think is great. I wasn't too fond of his old school, eventhough it was one of the best schools in the area as far as programs go but my son wasn't involved in those programs so it didn't matter much. I felt that since the school was so big, I wasn't treated as I feel a parent should be treated. I felt important as a parent at the new school yesterday and I hope that continues.
Evan, Owen, Paul and Joel are out for names. I'll post more when we think of them!

Week 20
20 weeks and 2 days! We're halfway through, yay :)
I had a prenatal appointment yesterday and everything looks good. My doctor went over the results of my IPS tests and the baby is healthy! All the organs and bones looks great! She did tell me though that I have a two-vessel cord, or SUA which means that instead of the usual 3 blood vessels in the umbilical, I only have 2. It's pretty rare (1%) but my doctor reassured me that since everything else with the baby looked good (liver, kidneys, etc) that I had nothing to worry about. I will probably be monitored a bit more once I get my obstetrician which will hopefully be in the next 2 weeks.
I've managed to lose 1/2 pound since my last prenatal. I was so worried I'd gained 10 pounds over the holidays. The doctor isn't too concerned with my lack of weight gain at this time. My blood pressure was 102/60 which is lower than my usual 110/70 and could explain why I'm so tired during the day. My doctor didn't seem too concerned with that but did tell me to be careful when getting up due to light-headedness.
My current food craving: hummus! I'm going to make my own later today, we'll see how that turns out!
I'm taking my son in to register at his new high school tomorrow. He's pretty excited about it, which makes me very happy. Things have been going good with us here at home. He'll be 18 on Monday and we're going to a local mexican restaurant that he loves (well, we all love it!).
My husband and I have been going over baby names and we just can't seem to find anything that really stands out. We'd both like something that isn't terribly common but will still sound good when our child is an adult. I like Owen, Evan, Joel and Paul but my favorite is Liam. Hubby isn't too fond of any of them. So if anyone has any suggestions, let me know!

Happy New Year!
18 weeks pregnant!
I hope everyone had a great holiday and new year! We went to visit hubby's family for Christmas. His parents got us a beautiful crib. We cleaned out the third bedroom over the weekend and put the crib together. I took some pics and I'll post them soon. The nursery is starting to look like a nursery!
I've started feeling the baby move. It feels like little flutters and it feels wonderful :)
There's been tons of snow here, I'll post pics of that when I post the crib pics.
Hope everyone is well. More later!
Oh, forgot to add that the flyer delivery job didn't work out. Way too much work for only making $15 a route. The collating alone took 12 hours!
