Lazy Day

I have the day all to myself today. My son goes into town a few days a week and has my husband drop him off to visit friends. So son is gone and hubby is at work. I might play some video games to relax later and maybe try to clean up the basement a bit.

I made my hummus yesterday and it turned out pretty good. It needed more garlic than the recipe called for so I threw a bunch more in and it tastes way better. We absolutely love garlic around here! I'm hoping the baby will love it too as he grows up :) I also made a few dozen ginger molasses cookies for my hubby to take to work the other day. He says they didn't last long! I'd really love to open up my own bakery someday. I love to bake bread and sweets. We've played with the idea of me baking stuff and then trying to find a store that will sell it, but I'm not sure how I'd go about doing that. I'll look into it sometime.

I haven't been sleeping well lately. I've got carpal tunnel in both arms, but in my right arm the most. I wake up with pain all the way up my arm and sometimes a very sore shoulder blade. I end up having to sit up for a few minutes and sometimes I just have to get up and walk around to get the pain to go away. I've got a wrist brace but the last time I wore it to bed (which my doctor has recommended) my arm hurt even more. Maybe I'll give it another try. I try to take naps a few times during the week and even going to bed way earlier than I used to. I think last night I went to bed around 8:30. I do notice that I'm not quite as tired during the day as I was in the first trimester, which is good.

My son registered for his new high school yesterday. His old school had close to 3000 students and this new one only has around 900 which I think is great. I wasn't too fond of his old school, eventhough it was one of the best schools in the area as far as programs go but my son wasn't involved in those programs so it didn't matter much. I felt that since the school was so big, I wasn't treated as I feel a parent should be treated. I felt important as a parent at the new school yesterday and I hope that continues.

Evan, Owen, Paul and Joel are out for names. I'll post more when we think of them!
