Moving & PPD

We'll be busy moving over the next few days so I won't be posting probably until Sunday or Monday. Our internet will be turned on at our new place on Sunday.

We're all doing good here. I think I've got a case of postpardum depression and we've been trying to deal with that over the past few weeks. A part of me thinks it's just trying to adjust to having my life be so different now that Nathan is here but I honestly think it's PPD. It's so hard for me to watch my family take care of things that I normally took care of before Nathan arrived such as laundry and general housekeeping. It's always been my job and I loved doing it. I know that my son and husband are helping because they know they should but in my head it feels like I'm slacking on my job though I'm really not. I am blessed with a wonderful husband and older son. I think I'll get better at accepting help over the next few days. :)

Nathan is going great. He's lifting his head when on his belly and on my shoulder. He loves to look around. He's also scooting himself a few inches when on his belly. And he still loves music.

Hope everyone is doing good. I'll post more when I can!

  1. I used to do a lot around the house too. I did all of the cooking as well..but not lately. It is tough sometimes not being able to jump up and do what we normally would be doing.

  2. cooking! forgot about that as well. I always would make breakfast for everyone, even pack my husband a lunch everyday, and manage to have dinner on the table by 6:00pm. *sigh*

  3. I am glad you know in your head it's "ok" to let others take care of things for a while - even though its hard to accept sometimes. Can't wait to see more of you all and new home!Did you find ur camera yet? :)
